Over 100 runners put their best foot forward for CAFT!

An amazing £10,000 has been raised by this wonderful group of people who donned their running shoes on Sunday 26th May and took to the streets of Manchester to help us in our work. As if running 10k isn’t challenging enough, they also had the British weather contend with – but not for the usual reasons! After a rather chilly Spring, Sunday was sweltering with temperatures averaging out at about 70 degrees!

Teams from M&S Money, AddPeople, Agilysis, Gateley, Barclays, Salford Arms and Subway Deansgate were joined by individuals from all over the North West in this fantastic event which attracts tens of thousands of runners. They were cheered on by family and friends, and this year we even provided our runners with a noisy and very rowdy cheer squad en route, including our very own Bobby mascot!!

Our staff were also on hand at our stand in the Charity Village, providing refreshments, encouragement and most importantly – chairs! We were so pleased to also attract lots of interest from the general public who were interested to hear all about the Adventure Farm and what we do.

It was a fabulous day and we’re so grateful to each and every person who took part and lent their support. Every penny raised will make a huge difference and we really can’t thank you all enough.
