Pedal power!

HUGE thanks and good luck wishes go out to a fantastic team of cyclists from Cargill plc at Trafford Park who are setting out today on a 4 day bike ride in aid of us! A brave team of cyclists and enthusiastic amateurs are attempting to cycle 300 miles to raise money for our charity, and our Charity Relationship Manager, Alistair Laing, was there to cheer them off.

Cargill are fantastic supporters of the Adventure Farm and have raised thousands of pounds for our charity over the years, as well as providing legions of volunteers to work on the land and at events. Many have taken part in challenge events for us in the past – including trekking the Sahara, climbing mountains, running races and previous cycling challenges to name but a few!

General Manager, Paul Kingston, is joining the plucky team during their latest challenge which will see two teams participating. One team will complete the whole 300 miles, the other will complete it as a relay. Both teams will be camping throughout – a challenge in itself with the British weather! A fantastic support team will keep them all fed, watered and well.

We really can’t thank Cargill enough for everything they continue to do for us and wish these brave souls lots of luck for the challenge that lies ahead over the next four days.
