We wish you a Merry Christmas...

boy and santa

Well Christmas at CAFT came to a close yesterday in spectacular style.

Three parties, two magicians, a couple of farm animals, a Bob and Sparks, a balloon man, many volunteers and a just 450 children. And it was all magical madness!

Yesterday’s party rounded our yearly total to 3035 deserving children. We started welcoming children back in February for the holiday programme. We have welcomed back old friends and we have been lucky enough to meet new people and make new friends. From residential holidays, to fun-days and Christmas parties galore, it has been non-stop fun at the Farm.

The Farm itself has been as busy as ever. We started the year off with a fab games-room refit. Holly, Emma and Kim joined our CAFT family, as did Sunflower, Herby and Henry, our snuggly sheep. Jure and his adventurers jetted off to Madagascar for an extremely challenging cycle challenge, raising over £30,000! The year brought about its usual events too; The Golf Day, Ladies Lunch and most recently, our Annual Grand Ball which raised a record breaking £140,000! Unfortunately, our Family Fun and Open Day was cancelled due to adverse weather conditions but it will be back next year (weather permitting!) However, we did introduce a new event to our programme; It’s a Knockout! The event proved so popular that it will be back next year. Check out our diary for dates and details of next year’s events.

So with the end of the year approaching, we look back on all our successes and we must thank our kind and generous supporters and volunteers. Without your continued time, energy and money, we would not be able to do what we do for the children and families who need it the most. We very much look forward to getting 2019 started and to having the children back here for some fun, laughter and adventure.

And from all of us here at CAFT, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Hblog photoappy New Year!
