Summer Solstice – Cardiff to Manchester Bike Ride

June 27 @ 5:00 am - 10:00 pm
Join us for this incredible adventure and conquer double-century ride in a day!

We are incredibly excited to offer our ‘extreme and endurance’ loving cycling supporters another amazing long distance event! This time linking Welsh capital Cardiff with Manchester! All this in a day… on 27th June 2026– one of the longest Saturdays of the year!

Our 320km / 200-mile route will start in Barry – the most southern point in Wales, first visit Barry Island (Gavin & Stacey), before following the Bristol channel through Cardiff, past Newport, then turning north in Chepstow. We head through Hereford, Ludlow, Shropshire Hills, Market Drayton, Nantwich, Middlewich, all the way to Timperley! Mostly gently undulated terrain adds to 2,574m / 8,444ft of elevation in total.

We will start our adventure just as the sun rises at 4.58am. The goal is to complete the ride, arriving in Timperley before the sun sets at 21.42.  Provisional route can be viewed HERE.

£85 entry fee (includes transport for you and your bike from Manchester to the start on Friday, and fully supported ride on Saturday).

Accommodation (Mount Rooms Hotel) will be charged in addition to the entry donation. Prices include breakfast and are as followed: single occupancy £65; twin or double with 2 sharing £45 per person. The payment for accommodation will be due no later than month before (26th May 2025).

Please note that the places are strictly limited and they are likely to fill quickly, so register early to avoid disappointment.
