Our Impact

CAFT Impact 2025

In 2025 CAFT provided 22,655 visits for children whose lives were impacted by disability, illness and social disadvantage. This was an increase of around 35% on 2024, an amazing achievement we are incredibly proud of. Thanks to our amazing supporters, staff and volunteers we were able to offer visits for thousands of amazing children from our region living challenging lives. For these children, a visit to an accessible countryside setting like CAFT is something that would not otherwise be possible due to their physical, learning, emotional and social needs. It’s vital that our work with these children continues in order to provide them with childhood experiences all children should be able to take for granted.

“CAFT gives not only our disabled boy a chance to explore, be happy and have fun but also gives us as a family time to enjoy and have fun together with no one judging. The staff are great and go above and beyond to make sure everyone has fun in a safe environment.”

Making a Difference

  • Parents/carers and siblings can spend time together in a supportive and accessible environment
  • Isolated families have an opportunity to meet others who understand their challenges, share experiences and make friendships
  • Children learn new skills, experiment, play and most of all have fun with no judgement or barriers
  • Activities that may otherwise be out of reach, can be enjoyed with no financial worry
  • School and charity group visits improve communication, independence and confidence amongst school friends and children with similar needs
  • Outdoor learning through our Forest School sessions develop teamwork, resilience, self belief, creativity and practical skills

“The children loved it and staff were so impressed by the care and attention given by your staff. The day visit and overnight visit have also encouraged some of our families who struggle to get out as a family to visit you again over Easter. Our children have really grown in confidence, particularly through the overnight trip – it is such a milestone for them. One child who has never before had a night away from parents is now going to sleep over at his grandparents, thanks to his CAFT trip.”

Charity Partners

Our provision extends to many local charities who can visit CAFT for a day or holiday with the children they support. Working with other charities means more children who are living with an illness, disability or social disadvantage can enjoy the benefits of a visit to our beautiful countryside setting.

“From meeting the friendliest farm animals to exploring the wild and wonderful woodland, every moment is packed with excitement and discovery! The park is full of smiles, giggles, and adventurers conquering new heights!

A huge THANK YOU to the incredible team at CAFT for giving our children such a magical day filled with laughter, freedom and fun” – Stick ‘n’ Step

“My son is autistic and non verbal and loves being outside. He loved the dance tent with the snow machine and my daughter loved all the craft things that were going on, and toasting marshmallows that was her favourite. It was the first time my son would sit with Santa smiling thankyou.”
