Join this fantastic charity challenge, trekking 120km from Altopascio to Siena along the ‘Tuscan’ section of Via Francigena – 1700km long historic pilgrimage and cultural route stretching from Canterbury to Rome. It is known as “the road of the Franks” and was first recorded in the 10th century by Archbishop Sigeric, making it one of Europe’s great pilgrim paths.
This section takes you through the breath-taking landscape Tuscany is known for… rolling hills with cypress lined gravel paths, vineyards, olive groves, fields of sunflowers. Then all the stunning historic villages and towns including San Gimignano, San Miniato, Monteriggioni, and finally Siena!
Passionate and warm culture Italians are famed for, together with the culinary delights and wine, shared by lovely bunch of like minded people making a difference to children CAFT supports… I think this might be the perfect charity you don’t want to miss!
